Ring Nu Awng
is a Photographer based in Kachin State, Myanmar – China border region, covering conflict and displacement.
He fled from Nam San Yang village after it was occupied by the Burmese army in 2011. He has been living in an IDP camp for over a decade now while documenting them at the same time.
His past has ignited his desire for covering conflicts and displacement.
He studied photography locally with Hkun Li and went on to study with the National Geographic Photo camp (2018), interned with Frontier Myanmar (2019) and is currently one of the two mentees for Sakse.
