Seng Mai is the editor in chief of The Myitkyina Journal and is the first female editor in chief of any news publication in Burma. She won the 2017 Naw Ming Media Award and came in 1st place Emerging Photographer at the Yangon Photo Festival in 2017, going on to receive 1st place professional the next year in 2018.
