Zau Ring Hpra is the editor for the 74 Media based in Myitkyina & previously was principle photographer for the Jinghpaw language Kachin Times magazine. Outside on the media world, he has a real life alter ego as a bad ass Metal Screamer / Rock Star.

He studied Press Journalism at the Yangon Journalism School & Video Journalism at the Myanmar Journalism Institute. In addition to sharing in the mass media, Zau Ring Hpra also holds public exhibitions of his works.  In 2019 he received an award from the humanity Institute for his ‘excellence in photojournalism’ during his 4 years running the photo desk for the Kachin Times despite never having formally studied still photography.
