KIA scout on patrol below the KIA pentagon on A Len Bum mountain. The Kachin Independent Army built a pentagon on the top of A Len Bum mountain. However, with the resumption of the armed conflict, the frontline shifted, leaving the pentagon an easy target for the Burmese long-range artillery and thus forcing the KIA forces to move to the city.
Today on the top of A Len Bum mountain there are many schools for IDPs.
